Home / Adventures / Sea Kayak Among the Whales of Quebec (August 2011)
The deep, nutrient-rich waters of the St. Lawrence River north of Quebec City are home to almost a dozen species of whales in the summer months. On this six-day lodge-based adventure you will experience the thrill of sea kayaking amid underwater giants—blue, finback, humpback and minke whales—and playful belugas. We organize day trips from our seaside accommodations in the friendly French Canadian community of Les Escoumins, Quebec, based on tide and weather conditions. A four-hour paddle on the spectacular Saguenay Fjord is a highlight. This is a fascinating eco-adventure of a lifetime for paddlers of all skill levels. Offered in conjunction with Caribou Expeditions.
